We are looking for the best frontend engineer in Denmark, are you him/her we are looking for?
At IMS, we look for the very best people, and then give them meaningful work to do. We don’t simply think about careers, we think about contributions.
Those who choose to work with us are joining a recognized global leader — a company uniquely positioned to help clients make the most of market opportunities and respond to challenges that affect global healthcare. We’re committed to blending industry expertise and advanced technology to deliver the most accurate perspectives and in-depth analytics on healthcare dynamics.
To join IMS means you’ll be part of a worldwide organization where one person can make a difference, and where collaboration and innovation rule. Our people are creative and client-focused. They are among the best and brightest in the industry. And they bring a broad range of expertise to the table. Our people are analysts, statisticians, software engineers, consultants, sales leaders, marketing and product managers, and more. The key to our success is our people, whose experience, talent, commitment and diversity set the standard for the health information industry.
We invest in people through a range of initiatives in compensation, benefits, and learning and development, and we strive to create an environment where our employees are challenged, empowered and can flourish.
SCAUT is looking for an amazing Frontend Engineer to lead our app team. You’ll be responsible for the architecture and technical design of all user facing applications, including our primary UI and all app design.
We are building the next generation of mobile health for remotely monitored heart patients. We currently operate in stealth mode, so we can’t give away too many details right now, but our app and web system will be launched to millions of patients world-wide in multiple languages and will be used daily by clinicians all over the world.
We believe in the agile manifesto and try to follow it as much as possible. Right now we run a combination of Kanban and Scrum, because we found scrum to be too rigid. We work in a multi-disciplinary team and you will have extensive autonomy and a high level of personal responsibility.
This is a high-impact, high-ownership technical opportunity. You’ll have the academic responsibility for our frontend team and you’ll be working closely with researchers and our product team to ensure everything runs smooth and looks great.
You’ll take a lead in educating our team on building solid frontends for the responsive web and our apps across mobile platforms. We want to establish a state-of-the-art frontend lab (e.g. automated deploy on mobile devices and easy testing) that supports our project in running a living-lab with patients who try out our prototypes on their own devices and allows us to quickly refine and release new versions.
Technologies and frameworks
Because SCAUTT IS a start up and have just set off, we are able to use the newest and best frameworks to build our web and mobile apps. You will have immense influence on our technology decisions, e.g. which frameworks we’ll continue to use or why we should transition to something else.
Currently, our technology stack contains the following frameworks/technologies:
- AngularJS and KnockoutJS
- Ionic and Apache Cordova
- Bootstrap and SASS
- Net, Git, Continuous Integration (Jenkins), Microsoft TF
Who is SCAUT?

Our aim is to develop the next generation of mobile health for remotely monitored heart patients. For this, we have received 4 million EUR in funding, primarily by Innovation Fund Denmark.
We started officially in October 2014. Right now, we are working on the prototypes of an app that lets patients take action on their disease from home and a clinical platform that uses advanced analytics to predict deterioration in patients’ condition.
Our culture is based on these values and beliefs:
- We sketch and build early prototypes
- We focus on user-centered design principles
- We pursue agile software development methods
We have a working environment that is open and free. Our work is difficult and ambitious. We aim to create solutions that will improve the lives of patients and the working conditions for health professionals. If you are an entrepreneurial person with frontend engineering talent, you might be just the right person for the SCAUT project.
